Empathy, compassion, non-judgement, collaboration, and safety.

My approach to each client is as unique as the clients themselves. I work to meet each client where they are and help them build toward goals they set. My earliest counselling experiences were with vulnerable populations through non-profit clinical work, which underscored how important safety and trauma-informed practices are for a client’s journey toward healing and positive mental health. I have worked with individuals and couples from diverse backgrounds, including BIPOC and LGBTQ+, and vulnerable populations, including survivors of intimate partner violence and childhood trauma. My role as a counsellor is to act as a fellow traveler on your healing path as you embark on your mental health journey.  I collaborate with all of my clients to ensure the treatment plan aligns with what they wish to gain from their counselling experience. My role as a counselor is to act as a fellow traveler on your healing path as you embark on your mental health journey.

What Does “Clockwork” Have To Do With Mental Health?

Ever since I was a child, I have had a fascination with watches. But not so much in the watch itself but the individual parts that made it all work. A standard mechanical clock has approximately 130 parts, with some possessing thousands of parts, all tiny yet intricate and vital to keep the clock hands moving forward. Much like a clock, we are made up of thousands of pieces, some small and some large, but none worthy of being disavowed. Clockwork Psychotherapy applies the very same principle to our clients in a holistic approach to help give a voice to each of your individual parts. There truly is not a part of you that is insignificant or unworthy of exploration, love, and compassion. Often times it is that tiny part that we push to the back of our mind, or deep within our subconscious, becoming the very thing that prompts our dysregulation.
